Nancy Thompson is running for Justice of the Peace, Precinct 5, Place 1, to deliver fairness and equal justice in the courtroom.

With more than 25 years of experience as an attorney, Nancy has earned a reputation for trust, integrity, and honest advocacy. Her legal background spans Family Law, Probate, Wills, and Estate Planning, giving her a deep understanding of the real-life issues families and individuals face.

In addition to her legal practice, Nancy serves as a mediator and as an arbitrator for the Better Business Bureau. These roles have strengthened her ability to listen, resolve disputes fairly, and apply the law with balance and care—preparing her to serve effectively as your next Justice of the Peace for Precinct 5, Place 1.

Fairness for All
Nancy will always apply the law fairly and equally to everyone. Her deep legal experience, including as a mediator, has prepared her to ensure that everyone is heard inside the courtroom and given their chance to express their side.
Resources to Help
Nancy understands that the legal process can be both challenging and confusing for me, especially those facing uncertainty. She will ensure that everyone who enters the court is provided with access and information to legal help, financial aid and community programs.
Improving Accessibility
As Justice of the Peace, Nancy will implement policies that encourage accessibility to the court, including Night Court, increasing presence in the community, and keeping the court docket moving quickly .
